SILVER SPRING, MD — Nothing says love like a box of Girl Scout cookies.
Montgomery County Police took to Facebook Monday to thank 9-year-old Elizabeth, a Girl Scout Brownie from Silver Spring, who stopped by police stations Sunday and dropped off cookies for officers.

In her letter to officers, Elizabeth wrote:
"...I sold more than 400 boxes this year! I was very happy about that. I sold so many because I told people that I wanted to bring you, police officers, some cookies. I am also going to bring cookies to hurt soldiers at the VA hospital in DC. Lots of people donated cookies. I thought that some cookies might make you smile and know that people are sending you love. Thank you for being brave and keeping us safe."

Facebook users applauded Elizabeth for thinking of others.
User Ricardo Blanco wrote, "At a such young age she's already showing what it is she'll become. A police officer, a firefighter, a doctor or just someone who cares and recognizes the great work our police, firefighters and military Heroes and Heroines do every day for us. Good for you, young lady."
