Have You Seen Missing Silver Spring Woman?

Evelyn Wang left a relative's house Sunday to drive to the Olney Library, and hasn't been heard from since, say police.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Detectives from the 4th District are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Silver Spring woman.

Evelyn New Wang, 41, of the 2300 block of Massanutten Drive in the Longmead area of Silver Spring, left a family member’s home in Olney about 2 p.m. Sunday. Wang told her family she was going to drive to the Olney Library and would return to the family member’s home in Olney that evening.

Wang did not return to the house and has not returned to her own residence, police say.

She has not been in contact with friends or family since Sunday.

Wang was last seen driving a 2007, blue Honda Fit with Maryland tags: 8BG9298.

Wang is described as an Asian woman, about 5’02” tall, and 125 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants, and was also wearing eyeglasses.

Police and family are concerned for her physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Evelyn Wang is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hour line).
