Roof Collapses At House Fire Near Silver Spring: Official

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Firefighters are responding to a house fire near Silver Spring Thursday morning where a partial roof collapse has been reported. Crews encountered heavy fire when they arrived at the large two-story home near Cloverly, officials said.
The house fire was located in the 200 block of Bryants Nursery Road in the Colesville area, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer.
Multiple crews were responding to the incident, which involved heavy fire conditions at the scene, Piringer reported at 10:15 a.m. According to officials, it was unclear whether anyone was home.

Smoke was visible for miles around the house fire, according to NBC4.
