Top Maryland Politicians Hold Anti-Trump Town Hall In Silver Spring

Sunday's forum is called "How the People and Congress can stop a lawless President."

SILVER SPRING, MD — Some of Maryland's top politicians are presenting a town hall forum called "How the People and Congress can stop a lawless President" led by the Takoma Park Mobilization in Silver Spring Sunday.

Prominent Elected Leaders will be in attendance, including: Congressman Jamie Raskin, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen, Congressman John Delaney, Council members of Montgomery, County Council and Maryland State Delegates and Senators.

Participants will address health care concerns, immigration, economic justice, LGBTQ protections, electoral reform, reproductive rights, the environment and more.

This anti-Trump forum is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entrance. As of Thursday morning, general admission tickets are sold out.

According to Montgomery Community Media, 825 tickets were taken within 24 hours of the event announcement.

Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Center at 1 Veterans Place. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. sharp and is expected to run until 8:30 p.m.
