Leisure World of Maryland - Conflict of Interest

Leisure World Community Corporation Vice Chair Paul Eisenhaur: factually disadvantaged or deliberate distorter of truth?

The dismally inadequate attempt to cover up the contemptuous actions of which he has become a willing participant, Leisure World Community Corporation Vice Chair Paul Eisenhaur's recent Yahoo listserve diatribe, displays a truthfully challenged man suffering from confusion laced with befuddlement.

On the topic of the Leisure World Board of Directors attempt to override the community opinion against the $7.2 Million Administration Building, Eisenhaur exhibits a factually deficient toolbox, proclaiming: "fact: the project cost of $7.2 mill includes the Crystal Ballroom renovation, MarylandRm renovation, Terrace Rm and Cascade Bistro renovation, and the Admin Bldg." Publicly correcting his false information, Linda Wacha writes: "The $7.2 million dollar cost of the Administration Bldg project does not include the renovation of the ballroom, Maryland and Terrace Rooms and the Cascade Bistro. Those have already been completed and paid for."

Whilst postulating Leisure World propaganda and falsehoods, Eisenhaur's contrived misrepresentation of truth properly fulfills his assignment as a purveyor of obfuscation. Awkwardly he meanders into areas in which his involvement now appears to be on the brink of criminal activity. The cover up of which he is involved is far from over.

Leisure World General Manager Kevin Flannery must resign---

The call for termination of Leisure World General Manager Kevin Flannery's employment contract for cause

Paul Eisenhaur has been cited to resign or be removed as LWCC BOD/Executive Committee Vice chair for his various conflicts of interest including:

Verifiable FACT #1 : Paul Eisenhaur has failed to identify that he is the latest named Secretary/Treasurer of Maryland Clubhouse Services, Inc. on his signed LWCC Conflict of Interest form;

Verifiable FACT #2 : Kevin Flannery is the President, and licensed owner of the Maryland Clubhouse Services, Inc. DLC Beer, Wine and Alcohol license issued by Montgomery County, Maryland. Flannery is the very highly paid (annual $204,000 + all paid benefits) Leisure World General Manager:

Verifiable FACT #3 : Paul Eisenhaur is the Chair of the LWCC General Manager, Evaluation Committee;

Verifiable FACT #4 :

Paul Eisenhaur's conflict of interest form does not identify that he receives payment from numerous mutuals to develop mutual sites linked to the Leisure World website. All 29 Leisure World mutuals are required to pay $30 monthly fee to access the vendor installed Leisure World website software, whether or not they have a website.

Wait for it - the other shoe shall soon drop:

One of the few who are unimpressed with the Leisure World propaganda machine, Leisure World resident Sharon Otto asks:

"I'm wondering what happened to all the taxes that were collected -???"

Using the Maryland Clubhouse Services, Inc. liquor license, the restaurant contractor Perrie, LLC charges and collects (now 9%) sales tax on every alcoholic beverage sold in Leisure World. Kevin Flannery and Paul Eisenhaur are responsible for assuring those funds are paid to the State of Maryland. However, according to the State of Maryland Office of Comptroller, Compliance Division, they have never received any alcohol sales tax from Maryland Clubhouse Services, Inc.

How could they?

Until this investigation, in violation of State law, Flannery never applied for Sales and Use Tax account.
