SILVER SPRING, MD — A lucky Silver Spring woman and her husband are overjoyed after winning $50,000 from Pay Me scratch-offs.

The married couple decided they were in a scratch-off playing mood after leaving a friend’s house. They made a quick stop at their local 7-Eleven located at 11406 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring to buy instant tickets before going home.

After not winning on the first scratch-off, the determined lady hoped for better luck — and got it. The second Pay Me instant ticket made the couple $50,000 richer.

“I remember my wife running out of the 7-Eleven to our truck, saying that she thought we won the big one,” said her husband. “This prize money certainly comes at a very good time for us. It adds that security that we’ve been working hard for and need.”
