SILVER SPRING, MD — A 65-year old Washington, D.C. woman's stop on the way to work netted her a $530,000 jackpot prize, according to a Maryland Lottery release.

On Sept. 1, a District woman was on the way to her job working the nightshift, when she decided to stop at the State Line Market located at 7817 Eastern Ave. in Silver Spring to purchase a $10 Multi-Match lottery ticket, according to a release.

Around 11:45 p.m., the woman took a break and went to her car to check on the results of the 11:22 p.m. Multi-Match drawing.

“I started counting all of the matches on the different lines, and when I got to line 'D,' I was speechless,” the woman said, adding that she kept her cool because she still had to finish her shift.

When the winner later stopped by Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim her prize, she told officials that she was still considering her options on how to spend her winnings.

For selling the winning Multi-Match ticket, State Line Market will receive a $1,000 bonus. This is the third time this year the Multi-Match jackpot has been it at the Silver Spring store.
