Man Arrested In Halloween Shooting In Silver Spring
Montgomery County police said the shooting happened just before 4:15 p.m. in the 14100 block of Whispering Pines Court.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A man is facing charges in connection with a Halloween shooting in Silver Spring, authorities said.
Jayson Edwards, 33, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment following the shooting that happened just before 4:15 p.m. in the 14100 block of Whispering Pines Court.
According to Montgomery County police, officers received a report of a shooting in the area, where they found six shell casings and two bullet holes in nearby apartment buildings.

Investigators later learned Edwards and an unidentified woman were involved in an argument with a group of people at the time of the shooting, police said. He was later seen leaving the area with the woman in a black Toyota Camry, according to police.
Police stopped the Camry on New Hampshire Avenue at Cannon Road and found Edwards in the front passenger seat, authorities said. According to police, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Prince George’s County Edwards. The woman was held and later released.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for the Camry and Edwards' home. During the search, officers recovered two handguns along with spent shell casings.
Edwards is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
