Man Dies in Burtonsville Car Crash: Police
A Silver Spring woman was injured when her car was hit by a vehicle that crossed over the center line; that driver died, police say.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities say a man died Wednesday when his car crossed the center line and crashed into a Silver Spring woman's car.
Montgomery County Police say the fatal collision occurred just after 4 p.m. near Sandy Spring Road and Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville.
A 1996 Saturn SL traveling eastbound on Sandy Spring Road crossed into the westbound traffic lanes of Sandy Spring Road and collided with a 2006 Mercedes E-350. The adult male driver of the Saturn suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, police said.

His name will be released once family notifications have been made.
The driver of the Mercedes is Salamatu Kuyateh, 39, of the 3500 block of Pear Tree Court in Silver Spring. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are still trying to determine why the Saturn crossed into oncoming traffic.
