SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are looking for a man they say fired multiple rounds at a vehicle parked outside a Silver Spring 7-Eleven.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on March 29, authorities received a call that a suspect pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots into the passenger side window of a black sedan, which had been parked at 12257 Tech Rd. When police arrived, they did not find the sedan in the parking lot but did observe broken glass near an empty parking space. There were no reported injuries in this incident, officials said.

Upon further investigation, detectives determined that the suspect had entered a nearby hotel shortly before the shooting and asked an employee for a coat hanger. According to police, the suspect told the employee that he had locked himself out of his vehicle, but later left the hotel without obtaining the coat hanger.
