Man Killed in Silver Spring Shooting
Victim was walking along the road when he was approached by an unknown shooter, according to Montgomery County Police.
Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal shooting Monday night in Silver Spring.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jonathan Lopez of Brentwood, Md.
Police responded at approximately 8:25 p.m. to the corner of Piney Branch Road and Dale Drive.

Lopez was reportedly walking along Piney Branch Road when he was approached by an unknown man who shot him and fled on foot, according to police.
The victim was transported to a local trauma center, but succumbed to his wounds early Tuesday.

The suspect is described as a light-skin male wearing dark clothing.
Detectives are urging anyone who may have information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
