Man Threatens To Kill TJ Maxx Cashier, Points Gun At Security: PD
Montgomery County Police are looking for a man they say robbed a T.J. Maxx in Silver Spring at gunpoint.
SILVER SPRING, MD โ Montgomery County Police have released surveillance photos of a man they say robbed a Silver Spring T.J. Maxx at gunpoint.
Just before 2 p.m. on March 5, authorities were called to the Ellsworth Place shopping mall at 8661 Colesville Rd. for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
Detectives determined that the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun that was tucked in his waistband, and threatened to kill a female cashier. The man took cash from one of the registers and put it in a plastic bag.

Police said the suspect then pointed the handgun at a security officer who had just arrived to work at the store. He fled the T.J. Maxx with money and merchandise.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this robbery is urged to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. The county's Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment: 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Tipsters will remain anonymous.
