Manna Food Center to Open Second Food Pantry in Silver Spring
Manna Food Center, which services about 4,000 Montgomery County families a month, will open a second pantry in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — To help curb hunger in Montgomery County, Manna Food Center is opening an additional food pantry in Silver Spring.
The grand opening is set for Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon in partnership with Silver Spring United Methodist Church, 33 University Blvd E.
Manna Food Center is based at 9311 Gaither Road in Gaithersburg.

Opening a new facility will allow Manna Food Center to help more families in need.
“This time of the year gets really busy because it’s getting colder, the holidays and kids are coming back home from college,” Yelba Mojica, client services manager for Manna Food Center, told Montgomery Community Media.

Manna serves roughly 4,000 families a month. The food pantry will be open every second and fourth Saturday each month.
Organizers say they are always accepting donations.
