Maryland Memorial Day Weekend Weather Forecast: Heat Returns

Although the past couple of days brought a sizable amount of rain and clouds, there's relief on the way just in time for the Memorial Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Things won't be ideal for Maryland, but with highs Saturday, Sunday and Monday expected to reach the low 80s, a chance of showers each day shouldn't be that much of a drag.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming south around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely between 8pm and 2am, then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Memorial Day: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Tuesday: A chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
