Maryland Teen Killed On Vacation In Puerto Rico: Reports

CAROLINA, Puerto Rico — A Maryland teen was recently killed in a shooting while on vacation in Puerto Rico, according to reports.
Tommy Grays III died July 1, according to FOX 5 DC. He was a 17-year-old Olney resident and a rising senior at James Hubert Blake High School, NBC4 Washington reported.
The incident followed a dispute on an Isla Verde beach, according to NBC4, which reported Carlos Aníbal Rosado Martínez shot Grays as well as the teen's uncle and stepfather, and that Martínez, 23, was charged with murder, attempted murder and other offenses.

Grays is the third tourist to be killed while visiting Puerto Rico in the last two months, NBC4 reported.
A GoFundMe to pay for Grays’ remains to be returned home and other expenses related to the shooting had received more than $13,000 in donations as of Sunday afternoon.
