Maryland Weekend Weather Forecast: Hello Again, Winter

SILVER SPRING, MD — Happy weekend, Patchers! Unfortunately, winter is creeping back up on us this weekend.

Friday will be a beautiful and abnormally warm night with a low around 55, so get to the nearest outdoor bar as soon as you can. Curl up with a good book or head to the movies Saturday, since there's a 90 percent chance of rain. The weekend will come to a close Sunday with clear and sunny skies and a high near 47.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly after 1pm. High near 71. South wind 6 to 11 mph becoming west 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 47. West wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. West wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
