Maryland Work Week Weather: A-Plus Forecast This Week

There certainly are worse ways to begin a work week, given the latest forecast for Northern Virginia from the National Weather Service.

MARYLAND — Coming on the heels of beautiful Sunday that followed a dreary few days, there's little not to like about the looming work week. According to the National Weather Service, abundant sunshine is expected through at least Wednesday. Too, temperatures should be relatively pleasant.

Not until Thursday is there expected to be a decent chance of rain. Isolated showers also are possible for Friday, but most of the day should offer party sunny skies. Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 88. North wind 3 to 6 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 68. Light southwest wind.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 71. Light southwest wind.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
