Maryland Work Week Weather: A Sizzling Fourth Of July Week

For those who didn't schedule a vacation around the Fourth Of July holiday, there's the usual work week to consider amid the smokey haze from fireworks and what not. And your weather forecast for said work week, according to the National Weather Service, looks pretty good — especially if you like it hot (close your eyes and remember bitterly cold February mornings).

Basically, we're looking at a week that's expected to have a lot of sunshine to go along with a daily threat of a thunderstorm here and there. Monday looks to be mostly sunny, leading into an Independence Day with a slight chance of showers after noon but otherwise sunny with highs in the low 90s (close your eyes and remember wintry mixes).

Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers between 8pm and 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Monday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Independence Day: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 68.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
