MD Man With Gunshot Wounds Dies Following Crash In Silver Spring

Montgomery County Police are investigating the death of a Capitol Heights man as a homicide.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A 20-year-old Capitol Heights involved in a car crash in Silver Spring on Tuesday died from gunshot wounds, according to police. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Montgomery County Police were called around 9:40 p.m., to the 3600 block of Spruell Drive for the report of a single-car collision. Arriving on the scene, they found that neighbors who had heard the crash had removed Orlando Alexander Satz Jr. from the Toyota Corolla involved in the crash and were administering aide.

When Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel arrived, they observed that Satz was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to police.

Satz's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where a autopsy would be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
