MD Sexual Assault Investigated; Police Release Surveillance Photo
Maryland-National Capital Park Police released a photo of a man they say committed a sexual assault on the Sligo Creek Trail on Sunday.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Maryland-National Capital Park Police are asking the for the public's help in identifying a man in connection with a sexual assault that occurred Sunday on the Sligo Creek Trail.
Around 3:55 p.m., a woman was walking on the trail near the intersection of Three Oaks Drive in Silver Spring, when an unknown man grabbed her buttocks. The woman confronted the man, who then fled along Three Oaks Drive, according to police.
On Wednesday morning, police released a surveillance photo taken by a security camera near the intersection of Chester Road and Hamilton Avenue.

The suspect was described as an Hispanic or light-skinned Black teenager, with a medium build, who stood about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 . He was wearing a teal blue windbreaker and a brown or tan cloth backpack with a buckle fastener. He was also wearing a black ski mask that covered most of his face
Park police are investigating the incident and will increase the number of patrols in the area.
