If you've decided to skip out on Black Friday shopping, check out a Montgomery County park.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Black Friday is about scoring the best deals on gifts for you and your loved ones. But the manic nature of the holiday can make shopping a nightmare. If you've decided to skip out on Black Friday shopping, you can take your friends and family to a state park.
Several years ago, outdoor retailer REI began promoting its #optoutside campaign by closing all retail stores and online sales as a way to get shoppers to spend the day outside. Plenty of state parks have hopped on board and are encouraging people to #optoutside, as well.
