Nominate A Hometown Hero In Honor Of Veterans Day

SILVER SPRING, MD — Do you have a special service person or fallen soldier from Montgomery County you'd like to honor for Veterans Day? Now's your chance!

Service members put their lives on the line to protect us. That's why Patch is launching "Hometown Heroes," a series that celebrates soldiers from Montgomery County.

Send us your submissions to Alessia.Grunberger@patch.com for a chance to be featured in the series.

You'll need to provide:

• A photo of the service member
  • By submitting a photo, you're giving Patch permission to publish it
• A blurb that explains why you're nominating this hometown hero
• War(s) the solider is fighting/fought in
• Any other fun facts (this is optional)

We'll be featuring nominated hometown heroes on Patch until Veterans Day. The deadline to nominate someone is Sunday, Nov. 10 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
