Party Shooting May Be Gang-Related: Police
A Hyattsville man shot at a Takoma Park motel is expected to survive, authorities say.

A shooting early Friday morning at the Takoma Park Econolodge may be gang-related, WTOP reports.
The Takoma Park police were called about 1:30 a.m. to the motel on New Hampshire Avenue on reports of gunshots in the area. When police arrived, a large group of people dispersed.
There was no victim at the shooting scene, reports WUSA, but police soon received a call from a hospital reporting a gunshot victim had walked in for treatment, sayd Cathy Plevy, Takoma Park Police Department spokesperson.

The victim is a 23-year-old man from Hyattsville. Authorities say the man suffered non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound in the torso.
Police continue to search for the shooter.
