Friday, February 6

- Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club presents a Tribute to Buddy Holly at 8 p.m.
- Olney Theatre’s production of Godspell opened this week. Their performance tonight is at 8 p.m.
- Round House presents Rapture, Blister, Burn at 8 p.m. in Bethesda
- Tony Award winning dancer Savion Glover performs at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m.
Saturday, February 7
- The Gaithersburg Indoor Flea Market opens at 9 a.m. at the Agricultural Fairgrounds.
- Adventure Theatre’s production of Petite Rouge, A Cajun Red Riding Hood has shows at 11 a.m., 2 and 4:30 p.m. in Glen Echo Park.
- Families may drop in at the Gaithersburg Community Museum for Discovery Days: The History of Valentines.
- BlackRock Center for the Arts hosts two opening are exhibition receptions at 2 p.m. Meet artists Kit-Keung Kan, Freda Lee-MccAnn and In-soon Shin and observe a calligraphy demonstration. Meet photographer Ronald Beverly whose work is on display in the Arts Terrace Gallery.
- Round House’s production of Rapture, Blister, Burn has shows at 3 and 8 p.m. in Bethesda.
- Olney Theatre presents a special event “From Godspell to Wicked” with songs by and conversation about Stephen Schwartz, the composer and lyricist of Godspell at 5 p.m.
- Pike & Rose Visual Arts (PRAVA) festival is an immersive art experience featuring international, national, and regional artists from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. the next morning. The event is free but does require an online RSVP.
- World renowned, local pianist Brian Ganz plays Chopin’s mazurkas with the National Philharmonic at 8 p.m.
- The Tamburitzans of Duquesne University folk ensemble perform at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville at 7 p.m.
- BlackRock Center for the Arts “On Screen In Person” film series continues with Rebels with a Cause at 8 p.m. in Germantown.
- Olney Theatre presents Godspell at 8 p.m.
