Police ID Anne Arundel Teen Killed In 2-Car MoCo Crash

Police released the name of a Pasadena teen, who died in a Wednesday crash in Montgomery County, which injured three others.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Authorities have identified the 15-year-old Anne Arundel County girl killed Wednesday in a crash on Lockwood Drive in Montgomery County.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 11:20 a.m. on Lockwood Drive near Burnt Mills Road.

According to police, witnesses said a white Lexus GS350 was traveling south on Lockwood Drive, approaching Northwest Drive, when it overtook a RideOn Flash Bus before reaching the intersection.

Upon entering the intersection of Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive, police said the 18-year-old driver of the Lexus veered left to avoid colliding with a Toyota Corolla, which was headed eastbound through the intersection on Northwest Drive. The Lexus clipped the front of the Toyota, according to police, causing the driver to lose control and the car to leave the roadway before crashing into a wooden utility pole.

Tayeba Rezaie of Pasadena, a passenger in the Lexus, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two female passengers were also hospitalized. Police said one was in critical condition, while the other suffered minor injuries.

The 18-year-old male driver of the Lexus suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing and could take weeks to months to complete.
