Police Investigate 'Suspicious' Death, Vehicle Fire In Sandy Spring

SANDY SPRING, MD —Montgomery County police and fire officials are investigating a "suspicious" death and vehicle fire Saturday morning in Sandy Spring.

At about 8:38 a.m., officers received a call for a vehicle fire on the property of a residence in the 1300 block of Excaliber Lane. Officers responded to the area and located a deceased person in the vehicle, police said.

Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating this as a suspicious death.
