Police Investigating 'Suspicious' Death Of Silver Spring Teenager
Police are investigating the suspicious death of a teenage male found at his home on Mondrian Terrace in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department are investigating the suspicious death of a teenage male found at his home on Mondrian Terrace in Silver Spring. (For more local crime news, subscribe to the Silver Spring Patch daily newsletter.)
At around 2:25 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a suspicious situation in the 1000 block of Mondrian Terrace, police said.
Officers responded to the home and located an unresponsive teenage male resident in the basement, police said. The victim was transported by Fire and Rescue to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The male’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of his death.
The investigation is ongoing and therefore no additional details can be released at this time, police said. Anyone with information regarding this death is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5700.
