Potbelly Sandwich Shop Opens in North Silver Spring
The shop brings its toasty sandwiches, signature shakes and live music to the North Silver Spring Neighborhood.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop is opening in North Silver Spring on Saturday, December 19th. Conveniently located at 12273 Tech Rd, the widely acclaimed neighborhood hangout will feature its toasty warm sandwiches, hand-dipped milkshakes, tasty made-to-order salads and live, local music, which make it “The Best Place for Lunch.”
Earning a reputation in neighborhoods across the United States for having delicious food, fun décor and local musicians performing, Potbelly shops are also well known for their friendly and lively people. Local resident Dennis Phillips, the general manager of the new shop, has been with Potbelly for two years.
“The community is very excited to welcome Potbelly into North Silver Spring,” said Phillips. “Many people have visited Potbelly Sandwich Shop when in the Washington D.C. area, but now there is one right in their backyard. With the warm community welcome, we can’t wait to open our doors.”

Potbelly Sandwich Shop fans have grown to adore the brand while visiting its multiple locations in the Washington D.C. area. Known for its good vibes and great sandwiches, live music has been a part of the Potbelly experience since the first shop opened in 1977. Neighborhood musicians put a little rhythm into lunch at Potbelly Sandwich Shops around the country. Interested performers in and around North Silver Spring should contact the new shop manager to apply and to schedule an audition.
“It won’t take long for Potbelly to become the most popular place in town to grab a bite to eat,” added Phillips. “With our toasty warm sandwiches, hand-dipped milkshakes and tasty made-to-order salads, we have something for everyone to enjoy.”

To celebrate the launch of the new location, Potbelly Sandwich Shop is hosting an oven warming event on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch. The shop will donate 100 percent of proceeds from the pre-opening event to the Springbrook High School Athletic Booster Club.
This Potbelly Sandwich Shop includes about 20 staff members, ranging from customer service to managers. The shop will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Delivery service will start a few weeks after opening and will be available Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with minimum orders of $25.
