Retired MoCo K9 Officer Dies Following Serious Medical Emergency
Montgomery County Police are mourning the death of K9 Harper, who retired after serving seven years in the department.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — K9 Harper, a retired officer with the Montgomery County Police, died from complications after suffering a serious medical emergency on Saturday night, according to a police release.
K9 Harper began training with his partner PO3 Chris Jordan in the spring 2014, before they served on patrol and as a narcotics detector team for MCDP.
Over the seven years they served together, K9 Harper and Jordan participated in several hundred deployments and made nearly 200 criminal apprehensions.
