Robber Demands Hydrocodone During CVS Pharmacy Hold-Up

Authorities have released video of a suspected robber demanding all the hydrocodone a Silver Spring CVS pharmacy had in stock.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities on Monday released a surveillance video that shows a suspect who demanded a CVS pharmacy's entire stock of the addictive prescription pain reliever Hydrocodone. Montgomery County Police Department have asked for the public's help identifying the man in the surveillance video from the Nov. 29 attempted robbery that occurred at a Silver Spring CVS Pharmacy.

The CVS Pharmacy at 10141 Colesville Road was held up by an armed man who ordered an employee to give him all of the pharmacy's Hydrocodone, a powerful opiate. Police say the robber threatened to hurt the employee and others in the pharmacy if he was not immediately given the pain pills.

The suspect fled out the rear door when the employee told the pharmacist of the attempted robbery, police say.
