Safety Training Session To Be Held In Silver Spring School

A two-day Active Shooter Training session will be held at Fairland Elementary Holding School April 24-25.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Maryland Center for School Safety and the ALICE Training Institute will hold a two-day Active Shooter Training session April 24-25 at Fairland Elementary Holding School in Silver Spring, according to a press release.

The training sessions are designed for Maryland local public and private school system security/safety directors, school resource officers and other law enforcement officers such as academy and specialized tactical unit staff. School risk managers, school administrators and school psychologists are also attending the training to observe the impact of active shooter response to students and staff.

The all-day training sessions will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairfield Elementary Holding School at 13313 Old Columbia Pike.
