Seniors, At-Risk Shoppers Get Special Grocery Hours: Coronavirus
In Montgomery County, supermarkets have set aside special hours for seniors and at-risk customers to shop without the large crowds.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Grocery stores in Montgomery County are setting aside special shopping hours for seniors and immune-compromised consumers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Local grocers and national chains have opened their doors exclusively to at-risk customers, so they could shop without worrying about large crowds and infection.
"We understand the unique concerns of our senior citizens and the need to protect them while also giving them the opportunity to do their shopping safely," said Montgomery County Executive Elrich. "We appreciate the leadership of these stores and look forward to adding more stores throughout the County."
