Sex Trafficking, Prostitution Charges Filed Against 2 MD Women: Police
Two women were charged after offering massage services at an unlicensed spa they operated on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Two women are facing multiple counts of sex trafficking and prostitution charges for operating an unlicensed spa in Silver Spring, according to a Montgomery County Police release.
Detectives from the Police Vice and Intelligence Unit arrested 48-year-old Ana Delia Solano of Silver Spring and 49-year-old Ana Cristina Bermudez of Riverdale. Police say they used sexually explicit photos of women to advertise on Craigslist for massage services at the spa.
Detectives reported observing male clients visiting the business in the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue over a period of five months, according to the release.

Solano and Bermudez, who hired several women to act as massage therapists, face additional charges of coercion and sex trafficking by force, according to the report.
Solano, who was arrested on Nov. 30, is currently being held without bond, according to the report. Bermudez was arrested on Dec. 1, but the status of her bond was not made available.

Detectives are asking any other women who may have been hired and possible victimized by Solano and Bermudez to come forward.
