Recent crime reports from the Montgomery County Police Department for the Silver Spring area:

• A residential burglary occurred on Monday, 10/20 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Sligo Avenue in Silver Spring. Unknown entry; property taken.
• Ten of eleven thefts from vehicles occurred during the overnight hours between Tuesday, 10/21, and Wednesday, 10/22. Forced entry; cash and cell phones taken.
• Attempted robbery: Monday, 10/20 at 8:29 p.m. at 11th Avenue & Chickasaw Drive in Silver Spring. The suspects unsuccessfully attempted to remove property from the victim. Suspect: WH/M, 18-25, 5’7” - 5’10”, short black hair, neck tattoo in cursive writing Suspect: 2 B/M’s, black shirt, bandanna or shirt covering bottom half of face.
• Attempted robbery: Friday, 10/24 at 11:30 p.m. in the 8700 block of Arliss Street in Silver Spring. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to obtain property. Suspect: WH/M, 24-26, 5’7”-5’9”, mustache & stubble Suspects: 2-WH/M’s, each 18-20, 5’3”- 5’5”, one with a ponytail.
• A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, 10/22 at 10:00 a.m. in the 8500 block of Geren Road in Silver Spring. Unknown entry; property taken.
• A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, 10/28 at 12:41 p.m. in the 1000 block of Osage Street in Silver Spring. Unknown entry; nothing taken. Suspect: WH/M, 5’5” & 140 lbs., black hair, dark colored hat and possible green uniform
• A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Bayfield Street in Silver Spring on Tuesday, 10/28 at an unknown time. No additional details are available at this time.
• A residential burglary occurred in the 500 block of Clayborn Avenue in Silver Spring on Tuesday, 10/28 at an unknown time. No additional details are available at this time.
• A residential burglary occurred between Monday, 10/20 at 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10/25, at 11:47 a.m. in the 9700 block of Mt. Pisgah Road in Silver Spring. No forced entry; property taken.
• A residential burglary occurred on Saturday, 10/25 between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the 400 block of Southwest Drive in Silver Spring. Forced entry; property taken.
• A strong-arm robbery occurred on Wednesday, 10/22 around 3:05 p.m. in the 2000 block of Harlequin Terrace in Silver Spring. The victim was assaulted and property was taken. Suspects: 1 B/M & 1 WH/M, 18
• A strong-arm robbery occurred on Tuesday, 10/28 at 11:42 p.m. in the 12100 block of Turnstone Court in Silver Spring. The suspect is known to the victim.
• An aggravated assault occurred on Saturday, 10/25 at 2:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of Staley Manor Drive in Silver Spring. The suspect is known to the victim.
• An attempted residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, 10/21 at 7:00 p.m. in the 11300 block of Columbia Pike in Silver Spring. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
• An attempted residential burglary occurred on Thursday, 10/23 at 2:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of Whitehall Drive in Silver Spring. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
• A residential burglary occurred on Monday, 10/27 at 11:56 a.m. in the 400 block of Randolph Road in Silver Spring. Forced entry; property taken.
• Five thefts from vehicles occurred during the night time and overnight hours. Two of these incidents occurred overnight between Thursday, 10/23 and Friday, 10/24 in the 1500 block of

• TUE, 10/21 between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of Parkford Manor Terrace in Silver Spring. Forced entry; property taken.
• TUE, 10/21 between 2:15 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of Gateshead Manor Way in

• WED, 10/22 between 9:45 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. in the 13900 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring. Forced entry; property taken.
• WED, 10/22 between 10:45 a.m. and noon in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring. Forced entry; property taken.
• WED, 10/22 around 1:09 p.m. in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring. Forced entry; nothing taken.
• FRI, 10/24 between 7:40 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Hampton Point Drive in Silver Spring. No forced entry; property taken.
• SAT, 10/25 between 3:30 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. in the 13600 block of Sir Thomas Way in Silver Spring. Forced entry; property taken.
• SAT, 10/25 between 10:45 p.m. and 10:54 p.m. in the 13900 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring. The suspect is known to the victim.

• SUN, 10/26 at 4:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of Robey Terrace in Silver Spring. No forced entry; property taken.
• MON, 10/27 between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the 3400 block of Gateshead Manor Way in Silver Spring. No forced entry; property taken.
• MON, 10/27 at 2:18 p.m. in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
• WED, 10/22 between 6:05 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. in the 13000 block of English Turn Drive in Silver Spring. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
• THU, 10/23 at 2:17 a.m. in the 15400 block of Athey Road in Silver Spring. The suspect is known to the victim.
• Twenty two thefts from vehicles occurred included both forced and no force entries. Several vehicle parts were taken. Most of these incidents occurred during the overnight hours.
