Silver Spring House Fire Displaces 3 Residents

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County firefighters are investigating the cause of a house fire that displaced three people on East Light Drive in Silver Spring Sunday afternoon.

Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer told Patch about 45 firefighters responded to 9803 East Light Dr. for a fire in the basement and first floor of the single family home.

The smoke alarms activated and there were no injuries, but three people were displaced and damages are estimated at $50,000.
