Silver Spring Man $10K Richer After Lottery Win

A retired Silver Spring man is $10,000 richer after buying two super lucky Super Crossword scatch-offs at a Wheaton store.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A retired Silver Spring man is over $10,000 richer after buying two super lucky Super Crossword scatch-offs at a Wheaton store, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The man won $50 on the first ticket, and was shocked when he then won $10,000 on the second ticket.

“I’ve never won anything this big before. I’m feeling extremely shocked by now," the former assembly technician said.

The man said he’ll use most of his prize to pay down his debt.

The Super Crossword game still has three unclaimed $100,000 top prizes and 16 more $10,000 prizes, in addition to thousands of other prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000. Stop by the winner’s lucky retailer, Shoppers #2371 located at 2201 Randolph Road in Wheaton, to try your luck.
