Silver Spring Man Nails Halloween With Creepy, Crawly Display
Last year, trick-or-treaters lined up outside Chris Pabon's door just to get a picture with a giant Praying Mantis.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Halloween is upon. And when it comes to spooky lawn decorations, Chris Pabon doesn't mess around.
Trick-or-treaters can swing by his home — located at 1918 Ventura Ave. in Silver Spring — and catch a glimpse of the spooky display. It features a witch cut-out, a scarecrow, a spider resting on a huge spider web, and lots of skulls. Oh, and did we mention there is a GIANT Praying Mantis on the front lawn?
Last year was the first time Pabon showed off the Praying Mantis. And it got a lot of attention.

"There were two lines outside my door. One was for treats, and the second was people waiting to take a picture of their kids with the Praying Mantis," Pabon said.
