Silver Spring Student Dies at Morgan State
A civil engineering student from Silver Spring died Wednesday at Morgan State University after collapsing in the student gym.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A civil engineering student from Silver Spring, Dmitri Clemons, 22, died unexpectedly Wednesday after exercising at the Morgan State University campus gymnasium.
University officials posted a message of sympathy to Clemons family on the college's Facebook page.
A university spokesman said Clemons collapsed at the gym Wednesday and was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will determine the cause of Clemons’ death, reports WTOP.

Two days earlier, sophomore Marcus Edwards was stabbed to death about a mile off-campus in Baltimore.
Clemons was a senior civil engineering major and vice president of the campus American Society of Civil Engineering.

"He had many friends and a loving family," University Vice President of Student Affairs Kevin Banks said on Facebook. "We extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends."
