A Talk on FLORAL DESIGN hosted by the Silver Spring Garden Club

Join Jason Gedeik as he discusses the latest trends in floral design while offering relevant tips and techniques to create them. Learn how to grow, design, and harvest from your own cut-flower garden, so you can fill your home with beautiful arrangements while staying within a budget!

Jason is the Head of Greenhouse & Design Operations for Hillwood Museum & Gardens where his role balances hands on gardening with the design aspect of public horticulture. Jason manages the care and cultivation of Hillwood’s orchid and tropical plant collection. He is also responsible for developing the landscape designs for the outdoor seasonal displays and creating weekly fresh floral arrangements enjoyed by the public. Prior to joining Hillwood, Jason worked at the Smithsonian’s Enid Haupt garden and was also the National Garden Fellow at the United States Botanic Garden, where he developed public education programs. Jason has a bachelor’s degree in Plant Science with a focus in Horticulture and Crop Production from the University of Maryland.

This event is hosted by the Silver Spring Garden Club.

There is no fee to attend and no need to RSVP. It is open to the general public.
