Taste The World Restaurant Crawl In Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD -- Over 30 restaurants are participating in Taste the World this year, an annual restaurant crawl in Silver Spring. On Sunday, May 21, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Fenton Village will host the event, featuring cuisines from all over the world.

Organizers call the event the largest restaurant crawl in the D.C. area. Taste the World will feature cuisines of Ethiopia, India, El Salvador, Burma, and many other regions. Restaurants will charge between two and five dollars for tastings.

“Most of these restaurants are family owned, independently owned and immigrant owned enterprises and what a wonderful way to support to these local entrepreneurs by simply attending," said Reemberto Rodriguez, the director of the Silver Spring Regional Center, according to Montgomery Community Media.

"Taste the World provides a great opportunity for attendees to try delicious food from across the globe, while supporting locally-owned, small businesses and exploring the wonderful Fenton Village neighborhood in Silver Spring," the event website says.
