Taxi Driver Robbed At Knifepoint In Aspen Hill: Police

Police have released a surveillance photograph of one of three men suspected of robbing a taxi driver at knifepoint in Aspen Hill.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police on Thursday released a photograph of one of three men suspected of robbing a taxi driver at knifepoint. Authorities hope that the public can help identify the individual.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, a Ride Latino taxi driver arrived at 14100 block of Pear Tree Lane in Aspen Hill to pick up a customer, Montgomery County Police said. Three men, two of whom had their faces concealed and were armed with knives, approached the driver and threatened him. The suspects got away with cash.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding the suspects or this armed robbery call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
