Top Prize: $50K MD Lottery Ticket Bought At Silver Spring 7-Eleven
A Takoma Park man cashed in a winning Maryland Lottery ticket worth $50,000 that he bought at a Silver Spring 7-Eleven store.

TAKOMA PARK, VA — A 61-year-old Takoma Park man purchased a Maryland Lottery ticket worth $50,000 recently at a Silver Spring convenience store, according to a release.
The man told officials at Maryland Lottery's Baltimore headquarters on Friday that he almost fainted when he realized his scratch-off ticket was a winner.
“I thought it was a mistake,” the man said. But, it turned out that the $5 scratch-off ticket won the top prized in the Power Spot Multiplier game.

The Montgomery County resident plans to share his winnings with his family, pay some bills, and plan a celebration dinner.
The $50,000 ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven #22921 located at 8101 Fenton St. in Silver Spring. For selling the $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off ticket, store management will receive a $500 bonus.
