Water Back on After Break Floods Businesses (Update)
A 12-inch water main broke Wednesday morning on Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring.

All WSSC customers have had their water service restored after a large main broke on Flower Avenue in Silver Spring, the utility says.
Crews are filling in the hole after work was completed and the road should be open later tonight.

WSSC claims employees have met with business owners affected by the morning flood when the pipe burst.

A break in a 12-inch water main has closed a road and flooded some Silver Spring businesses, according to authorities.
The water main is in the 8700 block of Piney Branch Road near Flower Avenue, says Pete Piringer, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesman, via Twitter.
Piney Branch Road is closed in that area.
WSSC crews arrived about 10 a.m. to shut water off in the area.
