Truck Cleared from Train Track; Brunswick Line Service Halted (Update)

No injuries have been reported after a MARC train and a truck collided, authorities say.

UPDATED at 7:30 p.m.

None of the estimated 600 passengers on a MARC train that collided with a dump truck, or the truck’s driver were injured in the collision, authorities said.

The crash happened near Seminary Road and Forest Glen Road, Montgomery County Police said on Twitter, halting all service on the Brunswick Line.

Washington Metro is honoring MARC tickets because of the service suspension on the Brunswick Line between Silver Spring and Kensington, MARC said on its website.

Train 875 is currently stopped between Silver Spring and Kenington and Train 877 is holding at Silver Spring. All other Brunswick Line trains will hold at Union Station until further notice, MARC said about 5:30 p.m. There is no estimate of restoration at this time.
