Washington Folk Festival
The 36th Annual Washington Folk Festival comes to Glen Echo Park, MD on June 4 and 5, noon to 7pm each day
On June 4-5, 2016, the 36th Annual Washington Folk Festival will be held at historic Glen Echo Park, in Glen Echo, MD. Sponsored by the Folklore Society of Greater Washington, the festival will showcase American and international musicians, storytellers, dancers, and crafters who live in the greater Washington area. On seven stages throughout the park, festival-goers can sample American traditions including blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, rockabilly, and swing and take a world tour of music and dance from Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. The free festival runs from noon to 7 pm each day, rain or shine. This incredible event is not to be missed! And it's FREE!
Glen Echo Park is located at 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo, MD. Off-site parking and shuttle service is available from the GEICO parking lot, 5260 Western Ave, Chevy Chase, MD. The GEICO lot is one block from the Friendship Heights Metro station.
