Woman Buys Over $8K Worth Of Items On Stolen Credit Cards: Police
Police need the public's help finding a woman they say used stolen credit cards to go on a shopping spree in the Silver Spring area.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A woman accused of using stolen credit cards to buy more than $8,000 worth of merchandise was captured in a surveillance photo, which Montgomery County Police have released in hopes that the public can help identify the thief.
Authorities said the victim was at the Fitness Evolution gym, located at 2144 Industrial Parkway in Silver Spring, when she realized her purse was stolen from a locker. The female victim told police that she had secured the locker with a lock before she left to exercise. When she returned, she said the lock had been removed and her purse, which contained her wallet and credit cards, was missing.
According to police, the woman accused of stealing the purse used the victim's credit cards to buy more than $8,000 worth of merchandise at different stores in the area. During her shopping spree, the suspect was seen leaving one store in a red vehicle and seen leaving another store in a white vehicle.

Police ask that anyone with information about this suspect call the the 3rd District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-6800. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
