Women are invited to network and attend information sessions at a free event called ChallengeHER in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A free event called ChallengeHER is coming to Silver Spring to educate attendees on growth opportunities in government contracting, as well as how to participate in SBA's Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract program.

This event is a national initiative designed to bring more women-owned firms into the federal government’s supply chain and provide an avenue for government agencies to meet qualified women-owned small business contractors, according to a press release.
A sample of local businesses and organizations presenting at the event include the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force OSBP, Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission, U.S. Army OSBP, Local Small Business Administration and TargetGov.
