
Studies have shown that yoga helps men and women with dementia and their caregivers. This workshop utilizes yoga as a way to connect with the person with dementia, and for caregivers to practice selfcare. Yoga teacher Cheryl Kravitz, RYT200 uses songs and nursery rhymes to trigger long-term memories and combines them with gentle seated yoga poses. The poses, along with with gentle yoga breathing, is a way for the person with dementia to relax and involves the caregiver in a positive way. The workshop is for the caregiver. Participants will receive information for guidance when they do seated yoga with their family member or friend.
