• Silver Spring man charged with rape, assault in Takoma Park, police say (wusa9.com) — Takoma Park police have charged a 21-year-old Silver Spring man after an 18-year-old reported being raped at a Takoma Park residence, leading officers to respond first at White Oak Medical Center. Following an investigation, police obtained a warrant, asked the suspect to come to Takoma Park Police headquarters, and arrested him there on multiple serious charges.
