β’ Report shows fewer troubled rental properties, but Silver Spring and Takoma Park lead the list (mymcmedia.org) β Takoma Park renters are seeing fewer buildings labeled as "troubled," even though the city, along with Silver Spring, still accounts for many of the county's worst-maintained properties. A new Montgomery County report credits rent stabilization, tougher inspections, and new enforcement fees with sharply reducing troubled and at-risk rental units since 2024.
